New Magic

New Magic is a YA retelling of Alice in Wonderland, which I’m currently querying with agents.

Blurb:

Almost 150 years after Alice Liddell went to Wonderland, her descendant must follow in her footsteps.

Celia doesn't feel like she fits in. She struggles to make friends and spends too much time escaping into her imagination. So when the White Rabbit appears on her sixteenth birthday, it's a daydream come true. He asks her to help Wonderland, and Celia agrees at once. Maybe that's where she belongs.

Except a bloody civil war is dividing Wonderland. On one side are the Destroyers, led by the Queen of Hearts. On the other- the Wonder Fighters, a resistance who needs Celia and the magic she inherited to help them turn the tide. Celia's sucked into the thorny conflict faster than you can say frabjous.

But helping the Wonder Fighters win the war is far from easy. The Queen of Hearts has a special vendetta against Celia. The people she's supposed to trust are keeping secrets from her. If she makes the wrong move, she might get trapped in Wonderland forever. Will Celia find her way through the madness without losing her head?
